~ The Horse Boy ~

I watched this documentary in awe of an amazing family and the undeniable gift that horses are able to pass onto anyone willing to accept it.

At times emotional, spiritual and heart wrenching, this is an honest and out of the ordinary horse journey that a Texas couple take to find healing for their autistic son and their family unit.

Rupert Isaacson, a writer and former horse trainer along with his wife Kristin Neff, a psychology professor, conquered their fears to attempt non-traditional therapy in Mongolia for their son Rowan.

The ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ was found as Rowan’s behavior transformed for the better. Rowan’s day-to-day happiness and his ability to link with the rest of the world was an undeniable improvement which can somewhat be linked to the horses that surrounded him!

Being involved with horses and having recently become a mother myself (Jebediah ~ 8 months) I was just entranced by this story and felt every inch of their heartache and happiness that went with their journey!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
